Congrats Rick.

I thought that normally you lose the shirt off your back, not the front?
-
Good thing the apron strings weren't tied lower.

Congrats Rick! But when I got mine they cut the tail... on the back side, not the front.
-
Congrats Rick! :chugbeer:

When are you going to complete the build?
Ride safe, Ted

Corngratulations! That is one strange clipping tho......it's the tail where I come from :o Guess this proves you can teach an old dog new tricks :rotflmao: :chugbeer:
-
That's great... and wrong... at the same time. :o
-
So, you still need a "Tail"? ;)
FWIW, the day after my mother solo'd she served my father with divorce papers. She never flew again :o
-
Congrats Rick, I know you have been looking forward to this.
-
If the houses are getting bigger, you loosing altitude, keep the dirty side down. Congrats!!

Thanks guys and gals :) Yes, been looking forward to this for quite some time.
Yes, cross-country trips to visit are on my menu. So watch your six ;) 140+kts at 25-45MPG in smooth air beats stop/go during rush hour on a scooter. And a 2g turn is pretty cool too :)
Yes, customary to 'trim the tail' off. Unfortunately the shirt I had selected (months ago) wasn't exactly suitable for public display. So the FBO got the front side, I'll hang the back side in my hanger.
I have an excess of hours in my log book (think old dog, new tricks), but have covered some/all of the advanced stuff getting there. Tuning VOR and following radials, towered, hood, and several 'small' cross countries. Still need night, the cross countries, short/soft field, more hood work, and of course practice.
