I never really gave these much thought until recently. I have had a Connie for 5 or 6 years now. My longest dat in the saddle is usually not more than 500 miles but I would like to stretch that a bit. I always have to stand on my pegs shortly after taking off to get things to feel right. I am 5'11 with a 28-29 inseam. For the most part I like the stock pegs but......... maybe it could be better.

I am 6' 4" tall and the first thing I did when I got my Connie was order a set of Murphs knee savers. You will not regret it! The Goldwing pegs are wider and fold all the way up so they don't break off if the bike drops like the OEM's do.

All the cool kids are doing it!!!

i'm 5'10" w a 29" inseam. I also have a wasted knee. Kneesavers bring me from 100 miles tops to 5-600 mile days with no issues.
And as has been stated, all the "cool" kids are doing it! ;D Steve

I have the Knee savers. Long rides are MUCH nicer than without kneesavers! ;D
-
Listen to what your knees are telling you...if you are thinking about Kneesavers...you will love them! ;D
-
When all the cool kids jump off a bridge so do I, heading to Murphs, thanks guys.

Convince me I need some Kneesavers!
Late to the party but OK, you need kneesavers!
I have a set and along with highway pegs (like what Snarf sells) my knees are much happier for much longer than with stock pegs.
-
You even cinvinced me...and I wasn't even thinkin' about 'em.

I've ridden on 3 different Concours fitted with the Kneesavers. I run ZX9 pegs on my scoot, I don't like the so called Kneesavers. If you like them have at it.
-
Yeah, but Don, you're about what, 5'6" and 150#? I wouldn't expect you to like or want kneesavers either. Now get fat like me, and have a blown out knee, and the ergo's change! Steve

What do the ZX 9 pegs do for you Don? Back? down?

How about these?

These pics show how Kneesavers fit. I know they don't look that much lower but they do make a real difference on those long rides.

That only compares them with the Gen-Mar peg lowerers, though. The dumbass who took those pictures didn't think to compare them to stock. There really is a noticeable difference when compared to the stock location.
NOTE: That "dumbass" was me. :-[

And a big "Welcome" to the club. I forget when the next meeting is!!

The pegs I posted from ebay are an adjustable peg. It looks like you can adjust any direction. Straight down looks like it would give about 1 inch. I need to look at some genmars to see what you folks are talking about.

I have the GenMar and like 'em. The main reason is the fact that they stick out farther. Yes, you have to do the pigeon toe thing, but I adapted without difficulty. Because they stick out farther, I can put my boots on the outside part of the peg and totally get them out of the hot air stream coming from the engine compartment. I use the heat shields in the summer(great product, BTW), these do tend to focus the heat out of the bottom, near the foot pegs. The GenMar pegs keep my feet away from that heat. I live in FLA and ride year round, including commuting. It gets hot here.
BTW, dunno where ya live, but swing over and take a look at 'em if you want. I live between Orlando and Ocala, in the Switzerland of FLA. Cold beer in the fridge.

GenMars are great for cowboys and bow legged riders. ???

You'll get no argument from me. ;)

I have kneesavers and I love them. The only thing that I found was you will drag the pegs a little sooner than at stock.
-
Dude! Get some hiway pegs! You'll be stuck for ever in that 500 mile Limbo if you don't! ::)

I put on Kneesavers and Tcro's shifter. BUT!!!!!!! We got 8 or 10" of friggin snow the past 24 hours. I have ridden about 2 miles this year so far.
Those 2 miles were pretty awesome though, with the Kneesavers and the shifter!
