This might sound a little bit odd, but I aks myself if all Concours have a cat?
I mean: does Kawasaki actually build two different versions for the United States?
And if there are two versions, how can I find out if mine has a cat or not?

I think all oem exhausts have to have cats by law... :-\

Your bike will have cats, probably in the header if running stock setup.
I don't know about older years, but certainly my 2012 has the cats in the header pipe (well had, I'm running '06-07 ZX14 headers now which are sans-cats).
If you really want to know fo sho, just pull off your muffler (5-10 minute job) and look in the header pipe where the mid pipe connects. See a little honey comb, you got cats.

There are two versions of the bike regarding emissions... California bikes (more emissions components (charcoal canister)) and the Federal bikes. Both have converters.

Thank you for the information.
I was unable to find this on the Kawasaki webpage, it was not mentiones in the specifications and the handbook didn't explain it neither. The only mentioning from the handbook was the sticker Nr4 but I was unable to find this one. It might be behind the fairing.
