Title: spark plug thread size??
Post by: Noho Drewster on May 31, 2011, 06:03:17 AM
Bought a $20 compression tester from Harbor Freight and the 12 mm adapter almost stripped out #4 plug.  Anyone know what the tread size is, or where I can find an adapter??
Thanks, Drew

NOPE .... I make mistakes too.... Funny thing is I double checked across a chart and I'm fairly sure the chart is correct so I can only blame my old eyes and being eager to post an answer. Must have crossed my B's & D's

Yep, Iridiums at the moment and before that, standard NGKs. Never rated Champion or Nippon Denso but have occasionally used Bosch.

Over the last few months my bike was getting harder to start and once it was running and going down the road it was good but if i turned it off to run in the store and come out 15min later it did not want to start until a big backfire out the right tailpipe, i thought it was my carb's cause i know they need cleaning but after adjusting my valves and putting in a new set of NGK D8EA this girl woke up, she now starts Immediately, there was only 2 valves outta spec so i don't think that was causing the backfire, now i know what to do when she gets hard to start or backfires.
