I gave Teressa the MSF course for a valentines day gift. If she passes this weekend she will have her FL motorcycle endorsement. And I will warn the masses ;D
Perhaps then she'll ride in the front and me on the back

I don't think I would ride bitch with a novice driver. ???

hmmm me either. However, she trusted me on the Road Atlanta Race track! I went so fast on the back straight not thinking about her sitting high on the back (as I was tucked in) that the front wheel lifted off the tarmac!

She is tiny as a mouse and her feet wouldn't hit the ground on the C14, I'll have to let her ride a low bike :D
-
Nice! She's gonna be riding the 9, I can already see it coming... ;)
-
Hey Teressa, way cool. :hail:
And hiya!
-
Teresa on a zx9. hmmm, she's gonna be one of the fastest bikes in the state? what does she weigh, 58 pounds? :) I hope she has some throttle control! congrats Teresa - be careful! Steve

You guys are funny, actually i let her ride the baby ZX9 monster a few weeks ago, at least practice letting out the clutch in 1st gear on the sidewalk several times. she could launch it no prob too.
tomorrow she attends the MSF (http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j180/stevewfl/bigthumb.gif)

My wife thought about attending the class, but she didn't want to spend the money. She'll ride the little honda dual sport around the property. I think I would be to stressed riding on the street with her on her own bike. I would feel like I would have to keep us both safe while riding.

I understand completely - and my usual sarcastic forum responses are:
I got Teressa's class as a valentines day present she wanted.
And I'll be stressed too, I don't want her to do it. But telling her not too would be like someone telling me not to. Wait, my mom tried that, it didn't work (http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j180/stevewfl/bigthumb.gif)

Man, you live where its really drab. Good thing you got colorful outfits. ;D

Any news? Or are ya out riding in this lousy 80 degree weather we're having?

How much do these classes cost in other states? Here in my area it's $25 and $5 of that is refundable at the end of the class. Everyone just donates the $5 though.

Can't wait to ride with her. :hail:  :hail:  :hail: :chugbeer: :chugbeer:

In Georgia it is $250. When my wife signed up 8 years ago it was $50 and she signed up in April for the first available class in Sept, by summer GA decided not to subsidize the class and the cost went to $250 that year >:( so she had to come up with $200 more

$350 in our area when we checked. It is run by private business.

Wow! My wife took it a few years back. I want to think $25 at the local Community College. Pass it and no need to take practical MC endorsement exam. Still the same price last time I looked but when the classes are posted online they fill up in under 30 seconds for the year.

Congrat's!

Thanks- here it was $170 for the two full days training, the paperwork to take to DMV for the endorsement, AND her learning on and using their bikes for the weekend :D
I got a $15 discount....

I may be picking one of these with less than 4000 miles for her as a lerner bike tomorrow if it works out. Can't have my ZX9R scratched, and this bike is a steal if my low-ball is accepted-
Its this same bike/color in brand new condition. And i bet i run the wheels off of it too, perhaps some "light" track duty too :D

The ZZR makes a great light sport touring bike. My buddy rode his on our 7000 mile adventure this past summer. I rode the Versys so he wouldn't feel bad about his ZZR performance. LOL! It is a nice bike with not too aggressive ergos.
-
Thanks, the ZZR 600 years 2005-up is the same exact bike as the Ninja ZX6-R "2002"
I picked up a '08 model today, that the lady bought in 2010. 4,000 miles on it and got it for next to nothing. And the lady had it lowered already, saves me the hassle for Teressa!

Only thing not stock on the bike, even the factory reflectors, rear fender, and original turn signals are on it!

Nice! That will be a perfect starter bike for her, congrats! :chugbeer:

I just checked one of those earlier with a cool paint job. The 1200 though.

Teressa sure makes that bike look huge! Is she getting comfortable on it? How is the reach to the bars? You could do raised clip ons if she needs them closer.

She rocked the bike Sunday for the first time. I rode
some slow lap times with her around the neighborhood (http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j180/stevewfl/bigthumb.gif)

rocked?
^^^ yes sir, well maybe anyway. I'm elated she didn't fall and scratch the bike or herself! (http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j180/stevewfl/bigthumb.gif)

Very nice. Slow control is way more important than fast control.
