I'll start with Christmas Vacation and the original Die Hard.

Does the Charlie Brown Christmas special count?
-
I like the one about the kid who wants a BB gun...you'll shoot your eye out
-
The 'TRIPLE DOG DARE'

Mine too, but I like the original better. I like all the Rankin Bass specials, Peanuts Christmas, and the Polar Express. In fact, I like all of the Christmas shows out of the 60's and early 70's. The cheesier the better is my motto.

It's a wonderful life.....
" Nick: [ringing the cash register repeatedly] Get me. I'm givin' out wings! "

Christmas Vacation

Hands down, the best Christmas movie.
-
+1 on Christmas Story
-
+1 on Scrooged as well.
-
+1 on the Peanuts Christmas Special.
Miracle on 34th Street -- in black and white, please.
A Christmas Carol, the George C. Scott version.
I love the hope that no one is past redemption.
And for reasons I don't really understand, I love Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer from 1964. Possibly because I saw it when it was first aired, and even though I think the back story is kind of horrid -- i.e. it's O.K. to make fun of the different until you realize they can be useful.
-
"Its a Wonderful Life" and of course that classic "The Fat Albert Christmas Special".
-

Seems like an unusual take on the story.

Sorry, rough night last night, not all there yet this morning...
-
This morning? It's almost 1:00.

"The Homecoming", its actually the pilot episode of the Walton's TV show, its a great movie. We also just got "The House Without a Christmas Tree", its from 1972, Emmy award winning TV movie with Jason Robards as a bitter widower raising his 10 y/o daughter alone in rural Nebraska 1946.
-
The Festivus (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dS7-jcsB_WQ#)
-
I forgot about Festivus! ;D We try to have one with the guys at work each year, its been a few since we had one, but I'm changing shifts at the new year, so maybe....
-
Technically, it's about Thanksgiving, but "Plane, Trains, and Automobiles" is a great one, too.
-
P,T, & A SHOULD be a Christmas movie. It just kills me. Reminds me of all the problems I used to have when I was a traveling sales rep.
Otherwise: It's a Wonderful Life and Charlie Brown Christmas are 1 & 2.
Ron
-
Muppet Christmas Carol - we traditionally watch it the weekend following Thanksgiving. I love all the asides and quips in the movie.
That's the start of the Christmas season for me.
-
I'll start with Christmas Vacation and the original Die Hard.

I'm watching the original Die Hard right now, a true Christmas classic and must see this time of year! :) :chugbeer:
-
The year without a santa claus. "i"m mister snow miser, i'm mister 10 below, everything I touch, turns to snow in my clutch." Classic!! :finger_fing11:

-
Serious version - Patrick Stewart as Scrooge in A Christmas Carol (Made by TNT, hard to find on DVD)
Humorous versrion - it's hard to beat the Muppets Christmas Carol And Scrooged
Polar Express has been a favorite since I first saw it.
-
Where the red fern grows. If you haven't read the book or watched the movie, you should. Great show for the kids as it contains many of lifes lessons. The dogs are big part of the show, but the family values is the core of the story.
