Today in my daily ride to work when first start it at 5:30 AM saw that there was some thing wrong with the display, turn it off and start it again and stay like that all the way to my work 22 miles away,  take those photos before turn it off, and when returning home at 3:00 in the afternoon every thing went back to normal , it is a 2009  with 25500 miles and i live in south Florida

Now THAT is one I havent seen before...  I am sure someone will be posting either something about KIPASS, or what weight of oil you might be using in a bit.  Hope it went back to normal for ya!

That has happened to me on two occasions with my 08, which has 88,000 miles.  I believe in both cases the error did not resolve until the fob was taken out of range. In other words, turning the ignition on and off with the fob in range had no effect but when I turned the ignition off and then walked out of range with the fob in pocket the problem was gone when I returned to the bike and started.  So I believe it as to do with a communication error between the fob and KIPASS. And I am pretty sure in both cases that I was sloppy in turning the stove knob. I did not initially turn the knob all they way to the On position, such that it was temporarily in the between position.

I am not making any claims but after the second time I have been careful to be more precise in turning the knob and the problem has not returned. Also both times this occurred I was riding for extended periods in rainy weather.

I had this problem, the issue for me was the battery connections were loose.  The LCD was not getting enough voltage.

Connie gets grouchy when she has to get up that early.

My vote is for the battery connection and not the fob/com issue.

You wouldn't want to see MY tpms display then, because it reads higher than that when the tires heat up!

(says one that prefers higher pressures.)

I could have solved.
By this application within the instrument panel made from a visor, I could have solved the problem of the LCD when hit by sunlight that fades the coloring itself indications of black LCD display.

Perhaps it is sun damage after all Jim, from the recent large X1-class solar flare, http://www.spaceweather.com/ (http://www.spaceweather.com/)

To me it looks likew some kind of dispaly driver problem. The display is working, just not refreshing properly. May be a loose or bad solder connection on the display board in the head unit.

If I leave my Connie in the sun the instrument cluster fails to work, heat issue down here in Louisiana, so now I keep a small towel in my tank bag to cover the instruments when I stop for a while.

Just remove the cheesy LCD and replace it with a GPS. You wouldn't have to worry about TPS/Low fuel sensors or any of that stuff. :)
