Okay. Finally found an '08 ZX14 seat on ebay for next to nothing. I have wanted to have a seat done for a very long time. I know the pans are the same, but that the hardware needs to be rotated. What are my options for having the ZX seat redone?

You are correct pan is identical... concours has hooks on front and ZX has pointed spring loaded pieces for front connection.
When I had my concours seat(12) done locally the guy lent me his ZX seat and it fit and locked in place as if it was meant for the bike.
I can not say if it is a perfect long term solution but it did lock in place and did NOT shift during the 4 days he had my seat..
Hope that helps you!

The options remain the same as for the C14 seat. Swap the hardware and it's basically a lower, harder version of the stock seat. Most everyone that works on C14 seats will do the same to a zx14 seat.

I think I'm going to give Spencer a call, and just deal with the ZX seat whil he has the stock one. Hopefully wont take too long...

Be sure to try the ZX seat extensively before you make some changes. I've been using one on my 2009 for 3 years and it just plain works for me. One inch lower and good for the typical 250 Sunday morning ride in west central Florida. Much better than screwing with the suspension height.

Fortunately, being 6'4 I could use anothe rinch UP on the seat! I'm planning on sending the stock one and just dealing with the ZX seat until mine is done. Might feel like I'm on a kiddie ride for a week but its better than caging it!

When I had my Russell seat done i got a zx-14 seat on eBay for next to nothing. I used that to send in to Russell and kept my original seat in tact.
