Title: The plastic key holder on the 2010 C-14....how does it work as a transponder?

My 2008 got two pocket transponders..sold it....got the 2012 which has only one.  However, this plastic key "card holder"  is allegedly supposed to work as a transponder too?

If so, have not been able to get mine to do anything when placing it against the main ignition switch....

Does this thing do anything other than retain a small key for your trunks?

Please anyone advise me on this item.....

It will let you start your bike....there is a little triangle shape on one corner of the key holder....hold this on the windshield side of the ignition....on top of the rectangular projection or see page 96 in owners manual.

Your manual has instructions for how to line up the small card so it works. I don't have it with me... but its as Makz said (tho, there's a diagram in the manual, if memory serves).

In addition, if the battery is dead in your main FOB you can use it the same way :)
