If you get one of those Big foot side stand du dads I would grind some of the low side off, I just installed one made a left turn and WHAT the HELL , not good, I'm talking about the one from ProjektD . )
-
I bought one when I ordered my last stuff from them, it's been sitting on the workbench not installed for about a year now... :-\
I'm unclear on what you're sayin though bro? It rubs or drags or hit's the pipe?? (http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb336/jaywilcox/smiley_dunno.gif)

I have had one on my bike for about 6 months now and I have had no issues at all.

I guess you don't lean very much in corners. ;)
Like I said the first left turn I made scrapped 3/16 of a inch off that little disk ???
I ride , with young sport bikers weekend nights, they call me POPS, like I've said before the Concours is a old mans sport bike, It gives me great pleasure ripping it up with the KIDS, I just don't get into the 100mph++ stuff on the interstate. I have a class A CDL.

I've never had mine scrape but I have had it fall off never to be seen again. Make sure you keep the screws tight.

JB Weld is your friend.
-
True, but I may want to take it off again.
-
Sounds like a hard left might do that for you.
-
I admit that I don't scrape the pegs on this bike but I just put it up on the center stand and put the side stand up. It sure looks to me that the big foot is still inside of the feeler on the peg and the outer most point of the drive shaft. Hard to see how it could scrape it without hitting the peg feeler first.

I have one and have never had any problesms. If you are getting that low in the corners you may want to consider sliding your ass off the seat more to the inside of the corner.
-
OK it just did it again, so I looked at it and since I have a ZX header and Two Brother duals the round disk is hitting the pipe between the header and the muffler!
I'm going to grind both sides some that should take care of it, It hits on slow 90 degree corners like when you leave a stop light then turn left.
I don't have a center stand because the exhaust, I just bolt it on for service.
-
I knew there had to be something else to it.
-
Oh, I think I see. Because of the left side pipe the side stand is not retracting fully?
-
I guess there's enough slack in the switch that it still thinks it's fully retracted.
-
Ok, that makes much more sense. I've had one on my bike for 2.5 years and have hit it once, but that was on a very tight, fast(80-90mph) left hand where I didn't judge the corner right and started to fold up the footpeg. Otherwise, it's been a great product and saved the bike from falling over many a time in soft sand/gravel/asphalt etc.
