New to The Villages and I got my recall notice. What dealer would you recommend. I will go as far as Orlando or Ocala area.

I made the mistake of buying my 2012 C!4 from Ridenow in Ocala. Went through the aggravation of them playing dumb when it came to replacing the small key fob that they lost. They cannot explain why my C14 has the silver not black wheels. Kawasaki confirmed it was shipped with black wheels and they are of no use. At the time I bought it, I was not viewing this site and did not know they were supposed to have black wheels. I suspect they changed them for another customer but cannot prove it and they will not get back to me either. Took several trips to get them to program it. Finally had to call the owner to get that accomplished. My recommendation is to stay away from Ridenow Powersports in Ocala.

I would contact Kawasaki and have them explain why the product you bought new had used wheels on it.  That is totally UNACCEPTABLE.

You must have the heart of a saint. I would have gone ballistic over this myself.

Champions Lake in Eustis is probably the closest to you. Just give them a call and set up an appmnt. They will not hold your bike hostage either. Here's a link to their site: http://www.championslake.com/ (http://www.championslake.com/)

STAY away from Seminole Power sports in Orlando. I took my bike in for a valve gasket repair under warranty. Charged me over for the valve job and spark plug replacement. Had them do it while the top end was open. Stripped bolts on my fairings. Did not put fairings back on correclty and replaced some bolts with zip ties. I called the manager and he said that sometimes they lose bolts or screws and do use zip ties in place some of the time. I said how does a kawasaki dealership not have extra bolts and screws around? My z1000's screws and fairing bolts are mostly the same. They could have cared less about my experience. They told me just buy the spark plugs we will change it out for you while the top is open. I got the bill they wanted to charge me 100.00 for the spark plugs! I of course would not pay the bill till we negoiated down to the price I was first told. I literally took the bike home and have to take every fairing off and replace some of the screws and then put it back together. Was a horrible horrible experience.

In my post I stated I had contacted Kawasaki and nothing was done. I talked to representatives at the Kawasaki tent during bike week and they assured me they would get back to me, but they did not. Kawasaki customer service attitude is this is an issue between myself and the dealership. My sales man was Andy and the owner is Lyle.  The tires and wheels were new. I believe they swapped them with another new bike but cannot prove it. Just my suspicion.

Going ape **** would not have accomplished anything. Kawasaki has sold their last bike to and so has Ridenow. I have bought two new bikes from them and put a down payment on a Goldwing so a friend could buy it. Sadly this does not make me a customer that Kawasaki or Ridenow values.

I am not a Saint, just realize the prevailing attitude was one of apathy by Kawasaki and without their willingness to leverage Ridenow into explaining what happened with the black wheels and their unwillingness to answer my questions, that it is now a matter of either enjoying the bike or getting rid of it. I chose to keep it and enjoy the bike.

Mark at Kawi makes sure we get zero customer service.  This isn't a big secret
