on 10' and newer, can u get ktrac and abs seperate, or are they a package deal? Like ktrac without abs, or versa visa. Sorry for a ignorance, I am a rook.
-
They are one in the same...
-
The 10 was available in non-ABS I believe.
-
And if you get the non-ABS then you don't get traction control. Starting on the 11's on up is when you don't have a choice...you get ABS and traction control.
-
I see, said the blind man to his deaf brother.
Thanks for the info. out.

* Gen 1 bikes (2008-2009) did not have a traction control option, but did have an ABS option.
* 2010 bike had a combination of the two (ABS/Traction Control) as an option. They cannot be separated.
* 2011+ it is standard equipment (not optional)
Traction control can be disabled by the handlebar controls, but I think you have to do it each time you start the bike (I have never done this, never plan to, either).

thanks for responding.
Is the abs/ traction control system good, or is it like the chevy camaro trac. cont. in 2000, where it totally ruins braking, even in dry conditions in a straight line? Just wondering if it's a quality system, or if it was designed in tijuana in a roach coach? The tc, abs is great in theory, but it fail's in application when engineer's have to design it with time or price constraint's.
Camaro tc/abs is the worst(have one), while the abs on the svt cobra mustang was supremely awesome. Alas, the tc from ford kinda sucked a bit, though. thanks

I had a 97 Cobra Mustang with the DOHC 4.6. It had amazing brakes. My 08 C14 will out brake it in every aspect. The antilocks are very good.

thanks. I will try to ride one with abs then and do a little experiment. Appreciate the reply.

Traction control can be disabled while moving....but why would one want to???
