Title: New HAPPY C14 in Arkansas
Post by: DaddyFlip on October 09, 2015, 07:48:32 AM
Just traded a 2014 Triumph Explorer on this NOS 2011 Ebony Black this week. Awesome bike and exactly what I wanted. Like the silver wheels and accents better than the blacked out look, so was thrilled to find this caged beast and set him free. Y'all can call him Eli. Attached is a pic in captivity and a pic in the wild.

Yes sir… "new old stock" sitting on the floor five years. The actual starting mileage was 160, so it might have cleared its throat a few times.

I was not aware… thank you for the heads up. I joined here before COG so just getting started. Won't be able to make it, though; going to football game next weekend.

Welcome to the forum. The C14 just loves highways 21, 16, 123, etc. Enjoy the new ride!

Welcome Daddy Flip-Just make sure to throw out the P.O.S. Crapstone 021 tires a.s.a.p. before doing any serious twisty action. They are barely tolerable and probably even more crappy after sitting 4 years. Get some Michelin PR's and then you will know, and Eli will thank you.

I'll be in Jasper with another group next weekend. I'm sure I'll see you guys around. I'll likely be on my green ZX14R, but will also bring the Connie just in case I get sore or something. If I see a group of GTR Fanatics, I'll be sure and try to visit. 8)

Congrats.  Good to see you decided to join up here.  Be careful though with these guys.  They will try and convince you that the stock C14 doesn't have enough power and you must do all the mods to open it up.

So far the only mod needed is Grab On grip covers. I choose Eco mode every time anyway. I can't be tempted. It's too fast and smooth as is. Total absence of speed perception. Thing just glides along. Like driving the big Lexus sedan. Destroys the 1600GT for me. Total winner.

May I ask your OTD price on your NOS 2011? Very curious as I'm currently looking at a NOS 2012 and it would be a great point of reference when I start dealing.

Poltergeist, here is a bit of info;
Check "The Prices we Paid" discussion on the other forum.
Lots of price info there.

There have been a lot of 2014's sold NOS lately. Good prices on all...
Must be a lot of leftover's out there.

Ride safe, Ted

Well I got a really good deal on the last remaining 2015 Connie (which houses all the improvements) I paid 12,500. I do have a very good relationship with the owner of the kawasaki dealership here. I am renting and repairing a house for him as we speak (second on actually). Before my military rebate it was 12,750. That should be a minimum starting point for you
