Painted the rims, handle bars, rear grad handles swing arm, drive housing and any silver metals black. I think it looks a whole lot better.
What did you use for paint ?

Does the piece supplied  with the changer fit in the axle of the 14? I know it is too large for the C10. Just got mine today and cant wait to use it. Even if I end up using tire irons I will be able to stand rather than crawl around on the ground.

Tom, some think its a curse  :o

I did the rear tire first, and I used the stupid contraption on this tire machine that holds the upper part of the center (axle) rod. It was more of a hinderance than a help. When I did the front tire, I did it just as how the machine looks here. Easy peasy! I have now saved my first $60 dollars in tire expense. However, I have about $250 into getting my own equipment.

This is the Pit Posse balancer that I bought from amazon for $50. Very nice sturdy balancer.

No, the center rod supplied with the changer is too big to fit the bearings. I went to Lowe's and bought a 1/2" solid steel rod and that works great, even without the upper attachment on the changer. I found the upper part was more of a hindrance than an asset.

I ordered new oem brake pads for front and rear today. I can't believe the cost. It's the bend over and grab your ankles kind of expensive! (easy boys)

I used Krylon Cover Max rattle can black satin and shot it with clear, just did a lot of prep on the parts...the silver parts left are going to be powder coated because they are in places the boots will rub on them..

You think that's bad, wait till you have to order new rotors. No choice but to go EBC because who can afford OEM rotors?

That's why I went with EBC's. No bending over required...

But you have to deal with noisy brakes instead, or at least I've read many complaints about ebc.

This stuff has always solved my noisy brake problems.

Last time I went to replace pads, I already had a set of OEM pads but found the rotors were run out. So I put a set of EBC rotors with OEM pads. I used the brake quiet and the only problem I had was when backing up, the front brakes would squeal. But after a few days it stopped and they work great now. I guess they just needed some breaking in.

Generally speaking, they do stop squealing after you break them in. ::)

Once broken in I didn't have any squeaks or squeals but the EBC's do make a hissing sound when applied that the stockers didn't seem to have.

The hissing usually comes after the squeaks and squeals.
