Would like your thoughts on anything substantial that you believe was faked/staged........................I will start with the Moon landing as myself having serious doubts. Of course they went into space "duh" but I feel it is a bit strange why nothing like that has happened since...... "if was in fact real".
What say you? ??? ;)

So this is supposed to be a thread that combines total ignorance of science and history, rampant and psychotic-level belief in complicated conspiracy theories, paranoia on a scale that pegs the "nut-job" meter, and ruthless cynicism about anything you haven't personally experienced? Oh yeah, and a room-temperature IQ.
Sounds like right-wing religious nuts who believe the earth is 6,000 years old and our ancestors used to ride around on dinos.

I do however think that there's a lot that goes on the government doesn't want us to know. Stuff we will never find out. Oh well, change the stuff you can and accept the rest and so on and so forth.

Nothing happened since? What's the space shuttle program, chopped liver? But I agree with not much has happened since. We really haven't had a driving force pushing us to go onward into the depths of our solar system. I imagine once another nation plants a flag there or on Mars we'll look up from our Ostrich holes and say 'Huh?'.
The people and their like that propelled the first space shots Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo are gone and into retirement. It was a different age back then. I rather doubt we can do it again unless all the top echelons of govt. are behind it and that means mo money.
Remind me to thump you on the head for even suggesting it was staged....

We really haven't had a driving force pushing us to go onward into the depths of our solar system. I imagine once another nation plants a flag there or on Mars we'll look up from our Ostrich holes and say 'Huh?'.

The year was 1990; I was on the USS Hunley AS31. She was a submarine tender before she got turned into scrap metal. During ODSI we had some high level brass come on board and commence to tell us that there are ABSOLUTELY zero submarines operating in the gulf. If I hadn't of loved my stripes so much I would have loved to have said "REALLY?? Sir if you dont mind; could you please tell me what that big giant black turd is moored up to our ship".

Ham radio operators were bouncing their signals off the moon and back to earth long before the first landing....I'm not sayin' it was fake, I'm just not
so sure the transmissions are proof. I guess if faking was the governmental goal, an unmanned repeater on the moon could have been making those transmissions right?

Now that is a very good argument :thumbs: , anytime you get more than 2 people in on something, there will be a leak,
even when it involves jail time for one of them.

I always felt the leg crossing scene with Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct was staged. I don't know how many hours I spent reviewing that in slow motion to figure out what was going on.

I was 11 years old when Dad woke me in the middle of the night, we took pictures of the landing on the TV with his new Polaroid S-70.
It was a night I'll never forget.
Sorry kids. Its as real as paper straws, cans without pop tops, paying for a phone call from a steel box.
When I get to the otherside I got a few questions.

I don't know about area 51 or Roswell, but I do know that when I was in the Air Force, one of my good friends was a flight engineer on C141's and he showed me flight maps that clearly showed that there was a strip of air space across part of the US that was restricted to civilian and most military air planes. When I worked for the atomic energy commision at Livermore Labratories the scientists there were working on one of the first military lasers and they hit one of the targets on the moon (placed there by the astronauts) on their second shot...if we didn't actually land on the moon I wonder how the target got there...maybe the scientists faked that too...who knows

It would have to be at the moon not just in space. So your saying we sent the Apollo 11 spacecraft to the moon with a recorded video that transmitted back to earth but no people on board? And the thousands and thousands of people and engineers at NASA, Lockheed, Gruman, etc. built what?
What about all the other Gemini and Apollo missions? What about all the moon rocks and dust studied by scientists around the world and on going for the last 52 years? There is about 10,000 times more evidence and documentation on the moon landings then there is on the battle of the little big horn, or the Titanic or almost anything you can name in history.
