Title: Quick question about the non-ABS 2010
Post by: 2talltim on April 26, 2019, 05:23:40 AM
Did the non-ABS 2010 have linked brakes or Traction control? Sorry really don't have the time to search old post.

(Crap, I accidentally edited and wiped my original post instead of adding an additional post.  Duh)

(Originally, I said that the 2010 (gen2) the ABS was optional and linked brakes were part of the ABS.  Also said I was almost positive that traction control was bundled with the optional ABS and that in 2011 it all became standard equipment).
(Then I wanted to add....)

I will add, presumably it became standard because the bike was already very expensive and the market for this type of bike demands ABS.  Dealers don't move many of them to begin with, so having some with and some without ABS was probably a logistics nightmare for them.

So finding/discovering a non-ABS gen2 will be rare, indeed.  One year only, and low demand.

Thank you. This is what I though also just wanted to ask to verify.

I've got one of the unicorn bikes from 2010. The only one I've heard of around here. It's plain Jane. No ABS, or TC, but still has the updated 2010 stuff like 2 maps and new push to pass function.
