Of the 5 motorcycles I've bought, my decision tree always went to "so they want you to be happy?"->"yes"->"cool buy the bike". My last and most expensive bike happened when I left a Ducati showroom, got in the car where my wife was reading a book and she says "why didn't you buy the bike"? By the end of that day I found one at another dealership, used but only 3500 miles, totally farkled for almost 10k less then new with farkles. Rode it home that night.

My wife picked out the Roadmaster (Indian).  I wasn't even looking at it.  She made a good choice.  I wasn't even contemplating buying it at the time.
