Interesting idea. My concern would be if you accidentally drop the phone and you don't know it. Falls out of you pocket or something like that and you continue on your merry way. It calls in the emergency and they don't even have a way of contacting you to confirm. Now you have the St. Bernard's our looking for you and you don't even know about it. Riding last summer with my son he had that exact thing happen. Left his phone in his pocket and it fell out while riding and he had no idea. I was behind him so I saw it but if he was solo he would have gone the rest of tank before he even knew the phone was missing.
