Bent fairing frame
« on: August 18, 2011, 07:23:23 PM »
I know my bike was dropped by the PO, as evidenced by the gap as shown in the photo (among other things). Is there a way to bend the frame back straight? Don't say drop it on the other side.  ;D

Placing it a vice and whacking it with a mallet sounds right to me. Anyone else have ideas?

It is hard to get it perfect, but if you take it off the bike
you can probably improve it.
Doesn't look that bad to me from your picture though.
Did you crack the fairings at all?

The left side almost touches the tank. On the right I can just about get my little finger in the gap. It's not terrible but I figured with all the dropped connies out there someone would have attempted this before. The next time I have the frame off I'll do some exact measuring.
