Atlanta found it's snow plow
« on: January 29, 2014, 04:59:33 PM »
The City of Atlanta found their snowplow late this afternoon in the car impound yard. Seems the snowplow was towed in 1966 because it was 7,243 hours overdue in a metered space. The City has to pay a $167,423 charge for parking violations, storage and ugly car charges.

They should have just used Milwaukee's snow plow option on all the Harleys around the city.

+1,

Just to the right of it I see a glimpse of the black Harley plow being covered in its dust

What I want to know is: Why was the Govenor apologizing to the people who don't know how to drive in the snow?

Geez people, it's snowing, it's slippery, there may be ice on the road, your vehicle will not stop as quickly, take your time, slow the hell down!

If you can't handle driving in those conditions:

I'm still wondering what kind of car was this originally? Rear engine rear wheel drive uber tiny econo box.

That's what he was apologizing for; he didn't tell them to stay home.  I'm not sure where you are from, but down south there is no salt to put on the roads, and an ice storm is just as bad and dangerous up north.  Many reports of wrecks up north in the past few storms.

They just don't have the equipment to treat it.  I can remember a snow storm in SC some years back that shut the state down for nearly a week.  Also, many employers aren't amenable to letting their employees leave early or telling them to just not come in that day on the off chance of bad weather.  I'm lucky, I work at home but my wife's employer rarely grants snow/ice leave.

Good eye! Rear engine rear wheel drive. But it looks like about a foot has been cut out at the doors and the front wheels moved back even more. Do it yourself poor man's bobcat.
