Right, like they tell us all their plans.  At any rate, we'll know more this Fall I would think if anything is going to change other than color.  They really need to do something with it, but we've been saying that for the last several years.

:offtopic: where does the 'stratochile' moniker come from?  For instance, I could be a 'chileosac' myself.  I'm thinking strato has something to do with flying?

Since the Gen 2 C14's have been out BMW came out with the K1600 and Yamaha with the Gen 3 FJR. Both offer ESA and cruise control. Kawi should be thinking of adding those if not for 2015 then at least 2016.

My bet is on 2016, which gives the C14 an 8 year run.

At the moment they seem to be concentrating on the cruiser market, F6B, new Valkyrie, CTX. I think they also thought the latest VFR was going to be the ST1300 replacement but they completely missed the mark with not enough features for way too much money.

I think your right.

Electronic Suspension Adjustment (preload and damper).

Meh.  I think improved projector headlights and cruise control (and some other things) are far, far more important/useful.

What is a Honda?

Has anybody else seen all the Honda guys writing crying letters to all the motorcycle magazines asking them why the ST1300 isn't included in any of the sport-touring bike shoot-outs and comparisons?...lol.
The editors reply..."Uh...since Honda hasn't done anything with the ST1300 since 2005, we don't believe they have anything new to offer".

As far as a substantial change in the C14 platform is concerned...I like the comment somebody else left on here a while back...lol.
Based on the production run of the C10 before there were any significant changes, the C14 should be due for a revamp in 2028.

Yeah technically Honda doesn't even have a '14 ST1300

I'm guessing Kaw isn't gonna make us wait till 2028 for a new concours. The days of 20yr model runs seem to be over. I mean Kaw updated the concours in just 2yrs after the launch in '08. Now that BMW, yamaha, triumph have all come out with updated/new ST's, I'm guessing we'll see a new concours this fall

We've been guessing that they would do some improvements over the last several years but nothing has ever come of it....however, I am hopefully pessimistic.

2020 would work for me.  My 2008 should be about worn out by then.  Hmmm, I've only got 58000 miles on it now so maybe not.   :-\

Will Gen I owners be allowed to go right to Gen III, or will we have to own a Gen II for a while?  Baby steps, ya know...

Well then, you owe yourself a Gen I experience.  We can trade bikes, and then both of us can legally move on to the III's when available.  Sure don't want to be arrested either.  tp

Update, but not terribly much.  Gen 1 to Gen 2 were more refinements/tweaks.  Nice tweaks and adds, for sure, but still the same bike.

I honestly hope they don't add ESA, or that atomic power plant they put on the new ZX14R with those extra 89 cc. I do not see anything stopping me from making the leap. And that would/will be expensive...   :banghead:
