I'm using fluorescent bulbs now and have quite the number of them. One thing I hate is the 'color' or temp of bulbs. I can never get the right color bulb again, especially for lamps that have several. I bought two packs at Lowe's the other week. Not only do you have to get the right color, you have to get the right base as well. I figured if I got two packs, I'd have a 50/50 shot. Wrongo. The percentage was really 33.3%. I got perturbed in not having the right color bulb and started investigating. What I found was you really don't pay any attention to the color description on the packet. You need to pay attention to the color temp. I had a mis mash of different temps in the house that were 2700k, 3500k, and 6500k. This is alright to figure out from the packet but what happens when the packet is gone? My color temps were on the base of the bulbs in very fine print. I hate progress.
