New C14 owner in Minnesota

Hi guys/gals. New owner of a mint 2009 candy red C14 here in Minnesota. Have owned many other bikes including the FJR. Sold that too go the bagger route with a Victory Cross country. Loving that comfortable ride, but felt the need for speed and always wanted a C14. Found a good deal on Craigslist on a 100% stock with 8300 miles; picked it up last month. Love it, awesome bike! Already started the mods including Delkavic slip on and pulled the flies added PCV and Wow! Now this thing just flat out rips!! Loving this bike even more! See quite a few other C14s out and about in Minneapolis. Look out for the idiot cagers going 45 in the passing lane on their cell phones!

Bases? My favorites are the tall tails....Ds. Dad was a First Sergeant for the 99th OMS, Westover. He was a crew chief on the '36s at Ellsworth.

Welcome to the forum. Only 8,300 miles on a 2009, I hope you give the bike more action than that previous owner!

Welcome to the Minnesota riders. We usually have some kind of ride or event about once a month if you'd like to get together. You just missed a ride into western WI / eastern MN on Saturday. The next organized event is June 10 weekend to Copper River, MI in the upper peninsula. You might want to contact Jeff Kerkow, Big Kahuna for MN, to get your name on his mailing list. Search for him as a member and then send him a Personal Message through the forum. Get yourself signed up for the COG Calendar to watch for upcoming events at
http://www.cog-online.org/clubportal/Calendar.cfm?clubID=1328
Hope to meet up in the future.

You might also want to sign up on the "official forum" where ride notices and other events are talked about. Both forums are good but the other one is the club forum.
