ZX14r Engine in C-14 in the future......??
« on: May 12, 2012, 09:19:27 AM »
The 2012 ZX14r engine is has become an unbeievablely strong, and reliable engine.  I look for Kawasaki to see the value in increased sales in the C-14 in the future and make only one engine, not two.....it may be detuned a bit, but with that stroker motor and 1441 CC let me tell you, nothing pulls like it!

I have 212 HP at the rear wheel now, if it is detuned to 175 nothing can touch it, and everyone will want to upgrade to the bigger engine and torque for sport touring...

Then, if you put on a set of dual exhausts or AreaP pipe and pick up an extra 10-12 HP and lose 40 pounds of weight.....it will be a combination that will impossible to beat...

Anyone interested in this concept?

I'm still on record as saying that I would order one the day it is introduced - assuming they don't do anything else I deem as stupid.  If they go so far as to offer it with factory cruise control I'd probably kiss the feet of my local dealer.

I'd probably pull the trigger in year 2 of that new C14 monster.
