Hi, new member learning the ropes on posting to the forum.
Living in Colorado Springs, CO and on my second connie. I bought my first in 2008 a Red 1991 with just 56k miles that left me this spring without a full time ride. Chasing electrical issues were just too complicated for me. So after putting only 18k mi in 5 years, I bought my 2nd, a Blue 2001 with 42k miles and a few more amenities. I believe you call them farkles(?) You need to explain that one for me! I try and commute daily to work and back only 25 miles. Last weekend I rode up to Aspen and back. A great ride over Independence Pass. This weekend I installed the Murph’s Accessory Fuse Block and cleaned up the battery terminals. The instruction sheet and pictures really helped. Took their advice on battery maintenance, mine was on the verge of going under. Each cell took a minimum of 25ml of distilled H2O. Next item to install will be the heated grips; this I believe will extend my riding season at least thru the fall and maybe some of the winter, weather permitting. I’ve enjoyed reading many of the technical posts and will refer to them as future maintenance issues come up.
Bikes I’ve owned in the past include 1983 Yamaha 400, 1986 Honda VF700 Magna, 1991 Kawasaki Concours.
