Nicole: is that a V-Max in the back?

back to the topic of this thread, I just received my nice left mirror to replace the one I left in Albania in October against a small van.

Leaving a mirror against a van could really leave a mark. Suppose it could be worst than just a mirror.

Yes it is, good eye Martin.

Y'all are making me blush!

Okay, here is the reveal of the project from the past two days.  Oh, but you need to figure out what I did. Hint... It took about 8 hrs to complete. Its nothing as dramatic as many listed yesterday. Plus who would want a chain drive, I like having a shaft (easy boys)!

Is it visible from the photo?

Thats a good question and I dont have that answer. The only thing different is that it is a 55 series tire. Other than that, I'm puzzled.

Crash bars, or whatever C14 owners call them?  Can't see anything else that would take some one as competent as you to complete... tomp

Painted your rear spring pink? For you a 4 hour job with an additional 4 waiting for the paint to dry?

Yeah that is probably old news too. Anyway while we are waiting for somebody to come up with the correct answer, did you ever tell us why you got rid of your Stebel horn?...and what's the plan there?..just sticking with the OEM honker?

At least your use to it Tom

Marty, That horn was just giving me issues. I had the compressor remotely mounted, so finding a good hose and routing it so it wouldnt kink was my mimesis. I finally got to the point that enough was enough and I took it off.
Im currently in the design mode to fabricate a dual horn mount. Ive found a decent price if I buy quantity of horns and relays.

The pink spring is powdercoated and on a Penske shock,  so nope, keep guessing. LMAO!!

I shortened the potato launcher by 3.25". What a project! After I started cutting the end off, I thought to myself that I made a HUGE mistake. Thoughts of a CF tri-oval were running thru my pea brain. I finally got the darn thing apart after an hour or so of messing with it. Next was trimming all the internals and making everything fit again. Then when it was time to weld the huge gaps (1/2''+) all back together. The welder ran out of wire. I searched around and found a small spool of a thinner gauge and that worked sort of okay until the gas ran out. So the next day was a trip to HD and then the welding store. These expenses put the project at $120.  If I had to rate this project, I would put it at 8.5-9 on difficulty. I would much rather do a valve adjustment then shorten another muffler. But now I have a shorter exhaust and still have a quiet bike. I do love the stealth mode! When I want noise, I'll ride my little bike.

Edit... I forgot to mention the huge mess that this made. Carbon and grinding dust everywhere. Dust masks would have been a good idea. My hindsight is 20/20!

Dust Masks on aisle 4 in paint dept, at least at my store...  Had to look again to see the difference in muffler length.
