Headphone issue
« on: December 26, 2014, 06:44:08 AM »
I got a set of wireless headphones for Christmas.  Sennheiser RS120.  I like them and they work well.....except when I bend my head down.  They then promptly fall off.  So other than expanding my head significantly I need suggestions on how to keep them from falling off..  They have flat earpieces, not the sculpted ones that fit around the ears.

Suggestions not to be entertained..

  • duct tape
  • Super glue
  • Tin foil
  • large vice grips
  • C-clamp
  • Don't bend head down

Bungee cord?
Staples?
Velcro?
Bubble gum?

All worthy suggestions.  Velcro may work but I'm scared it might pull out what hair I have left on the sides.  I'm thinking a black sweat band or a largish rubber band.

Not as fashionable or cool as Conrad's idea, but you could maybe adapt one of these:
https://www.google.com/search?q=eyewear+retainer&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=lIedVPq5C5CsyATbyIL4AQ&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAg&biw=1920&bih=927#tbm=isch&q=adjustable+eyewear+retainer

I think the ones with the little loops on the end would be best as you could pull the cord through the loop to make a bigger loop that would cinch around the headphone just above the ear cups.

Grab a handful of the headphones' curved body with each hand and bend inwards. Tighten the curvature of the overhead part. It should lessen the radius and tighten the grip.

I use Sennheisers with a HEAVY cord - worked for me.
Whether you think you can or can't you're right!

I grabbed the Sennheiser MM200 wireless earbuds while they had them. I love them.

I'll have to talk to my wife about that but I think she may not go for it.

At first I thought you were referring to the picture above. I was all for it.
