Remembering the victums of 9/11
« on: September 11, 2012, 12:54:27 PM »
I can clearly remember a coworker running into the machine shop where I worked on the morning of 9/11, and yelling that we were under attack by terrorists, and we all ran up to our test lab and watched on a TV in horror as the planes slammed into the World Trade Center, knowing full well that thousands of people had lost their lives, and its something that I will never forget.

I have my flag out and I am attending a 9/11 remembrance rally this afternoon, and I hope everyone takes at least take a few moments today to remember the 2,976 people who lost their lives on 9/11.  :(

I was thinking about that today as I heard over the news that another high level terrorist in Yemen got smacked with a missile from a drone.

I was sitting right where I am sitting now, at my desk at work. I got a call from a good friend of mine who lived in New York. He told me to turn my TV on. I did and sat watching in horror.

I also put my flag out.
I remember watching in horror on TV, like it was just last month.
The company I worked for at the time had scheduled 50% layoffs that day, including my wife at the time. Obviously they postponed that.

Wow, powerful.
Not sure how I feel about a beer company making the commercial, but the horses bowing is emotional.

Anything with beer in it is ok by me.  I've never seen that commercial.  Gave me goose bumps.

This Budweiser commercial only aired once.
That was their half-time Super Bowl commercial in 2002, right?
