I'd wanted one since I was 19.  Little did I know that 3 years later I would be buying one!

In my 20's there would have been no way I could have afforded a Concours!   You two are spoiled ;)

Quiet, smooth, powerful, comfortable, areodynamic... it is a perfect storm for tickets if you are not careful.

Me?  None yet... thank God.  But I came REALLY close- was pulled on Rt 5 by a state trooper.  He was rather surprised when he looked me up in the system and saw a perfect driving record and then saw me- not some 20/30 year old.  All proper gear.  Proper tags.  Proper insurance.  He said I was something like 68 (maybe higher, can't remember) in a 55 and yet let me go with a warning.

Only had one close call so far in 5 years and it was pretty much the same story although it was in the city.

Owned mine now for 27 months, and 18k miles.
To date... -0- tickets.

Thank you, maturity and Rostra!

I did have an OHP do a turn-around and pull me over the first week I had mine, out on 412 between Tulsa and Stillwater, Ok.

The reason? He thought it was cool, thinking about buying one himself, and wanted to see it up close.
Kinda hacked me off at first, then made me laugh!

None for me so far. I keep it tame in the small towns, go with the flow of traffic on the main roads. If there is ever a cop sitting on some of the back roads I run, then I'll be getting the 50+ over the limit performance award.

Get one of those " Get out of jail free " cards from your Monopoly game.

When the officer asks for your license just hand him that instead.

Their job gets pretty boring and most of them need a good laugh anyway.

I received a verbal warning in Arkansas for 104 in a 55 almost two years ago. Passing a big truck with three other bikes behind me.

Last summer on the first hour of a road trip, I was pulled over for 40KM over the limit - forgot to slow down when the limit went down. Here, when you get caught at 40 over, they can impound your vehicle for 7 days. That means a tow, storage fees, fines and how to get home. Cop took my license and came back saying I had a clean record so he would forget about it. As noted above, I am an old guy and no squid. I thanked him and off I went! Only time I have been pulled over on a bike.

It's so subjective for the most part.  I have a nephew who is a deputy that rarely pulls someone over unless it's 12+ and then it depends on attitude on whether a citation is given.  He does his best work pulling over drunks to which I salute him for that.

I have had two ( 1 prior to a RD 1 after ) both were written for way under the clocked speed ( 1st was 94/65 ticket was for 8 over 2nd was 83/65 written for 5 over and a non moving no points ticket to boot ). The RD has saved me plenty the 2nd ticket was me being lazy on Hwy 50 across Nevada.
Don't know if it helped but I have a CCW permit and with both officers we spent more time talking guns than tickets.
it's better to ask forgiveness than permission..... So I have been told

This is all fine well and good, but has anyone been pulled over by a LEO C14?

Haven't been pulled over by one but met one getting gas at the same station. He had 20+ years on a Harley and been on the C14 for a month. Said he was shocked by the difference in performance and would never go back.
