I remember this thread on the old forum and don't think its been done yet here on the new site. Its just cool to see the avg age of the C14 owner.
OK, I'll start it off...
Im 37, but 38 is fast approaching :( ;D
-
Ya I'm a legal speed limit somewhere ( 55 ) so what? 8)
-
Hell, I am like a kid here ;D
-
43 in less than 2 weeks... :(
But I still feel and act like I'm 18... :)
-
Chronologically enhanced here! 8)
-
27 here, bought the bike when I was 26. My dad and I joke that I must be the youngest C14 owner in existence :D
-
I'm 36. Have had a few people call me "old man" for trading in my 2008 CBR1000RR for the 2012 C14.
-
Will you still need me
Will you still feed me
Now that I'm 64

Wife will say i act like a 18 year old sometimes ::)
-
I'm on the low side of 50 something and I'll be retiring in 7 months baby!
-
Happy Birthday tomorrow Speed.
Turned the five-O Thursday. . .at that age where I just can't trust a fart. :o
-
Looks like we have a bunch of old farts on this site. If I knew I was going to live so long, I would have taken better care of myself.

Any correlation between age and post count Conrad? Congrats and good luck!

Who are you calling old? I am only 44...
If I knew I was going to live so long, I would have taken better care of myself.
You are only as old as you feel. (Unfortunately, I feel like I am about 80).
-
Well, I see I'm in the "baby-boom" segment, the most populated...
:)
(I'd say more a Harley segment, but I sold mine: don't feel old inside!! ;D)
-
I'm 47 and Loving it! Too old to swing a leg over a ZX, and too young for a GWing.
-
43 in less than 2 weeks... :(
But I still feel and act like I'm 18... :)
That is an understatement.
-
47 going on 27. Still feel like I'm young and athletic....just don't move like that so much lol. Working on it though! -25 lbs since Jan.
-
I turned 50 in January.

Happy B-day BK.... :chugbeer:

51 and enjoying it
-
Just turned 46 on St Patricks Day. But in my mind I'm only 24. 24 was a lot better than 18!
:chugbeer:
-
54 had c14 3 years I also have 1999 cbr 1100 xx put a turbo on 4 years ago
-

You are only as old as you feel. (Unfortunately, I feel like I am about 80).
You sound like a 80 year old who has low T missed his nap and afternoon Geritol tonic treatment. ;)
-
Chronologically 64, mentally whatever the situation needs provided the body will agree.
ARS, if you think you are too young for a goldwing you ought to try riding one.
-
There is only one user here in their 20's? ???
Don't tell AARP, they will start advertising on our forum. :rotflmao:
-
ha ha- I get to sit at the POPULAR table. Too bad i can feel every yr though.
-
You sound like a 80 year old who has low T missed his nap and afternoon Geritol tonic treatment. ;)
Well, I do have normal "T", don't know nothing about Geritol, but I *did* miss my nap today.... so get off my lawn!
-
Turned 58 in December, and get to pull the pin this summer.
-
:o 60 The last time I checked but I try not to act it. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
-
45 and counting.....
-
46. Bought Connie when I was 44. You never know when you're gonna wake up dead... do your bucket list while you're alive!
-
59 years young tomorrow
Happy Birthday man!
-
Turned 43 in December....and now applying for the Nashville PD. Just not going down without a fight!
-
60. :)
-
Whew! I still get to claim the 30-39 bracket for one more year. Does that mean I was supposed to buy the ZX14? ;)
-
51years young, and on my 16th Bike.......and an AARP member!
-
51years young, and on my 16th Bike.......and an AARP member!
59 and on my 27th bike. you need to catch up. ;)
-
Just turned 55 in Feb. Still feel young except for the pain.
-
28, got it 3 years ago when I was 25. I'm sure the salesman was a bit confused by my preference. The big touring bikes have always appealed to me, since I like to ride distance, and still have fun in the canyons/mountains.
-
Wow! Lots of March birthdays. Turned 43 the day after St. Paddie's day. Connie replaced a Ducati four years ago.
-

Two more years for me, & yeah I've totally been thinking about adding a ZX14 to the collection 8)
Thanks for all the votes everyone, this thread turned out great. Looks like the 50 somethins still have the lead...keep the votes coming in!

Crotchety Old Men rule.

Crotchety Old Men rule.
How about Crotch-rockety old men? Like my dad who is 55 and still rides his 93 Ducati 900ss.
-
57 for me but feeling like 30! I still have a CBR 929 in the garage (and yes I ride it)!!
Mark

I turned 41 in January. I bought my first C-14 when I was 37.
-
59. Will be 60 in July, hopefully. Being 59 is not a problem. Being trapped in a broken down body is.
I can eat pretty much what I want. Don't exercise (finite heartbeat group), smoke and drink occassionally. Don't get much sleep.
All of these habits I take care of with meds. I take pills for diabetes, blood pressure, cholestrol, thick blood, atrial fibrulation and allergies. Oh yes, sleep aids also.
Got new plumbing to the heart about 3 years ago.
By God, I think I might live indefinatly. Or at least until I die. ;)
-
50 here. Halfway to a Harley ;)
-
Good to see a few 70's , that means their is hope :)
I'd probability add those lowering links by then, and a pair of Max's magic boots...
you keep getting shorter as you age :'( so they say
start a yoga class so I could gracefully mount and dismount 8)
-
I turn 60 next month. Will luck my bike will be at our new house in Colorado by the end of May.
-
I'm 44 and I regularly ride with my uncle who will be 75 this yr. He rides an 04 Concours, an 08 Fat Bob, and an 80s Honda trials bike. He's an animal.
-
59 in 2 months, not enough time left to go slow.
-
The guys in their 70's that are still riding a beast of a bike like this give me hope for my future.
Keep twisting the wrist guys!

Just turned 31. Traded in my 07 ZX14 for an 08 Concours. Just picked it up last weekend and havent even had a chance to ride. If I like it as much as I hope, I will probabbly be going brand new in the next 2 years. Any tips, tricks, or issues I should be aware of? Thanks guys.

Tips? ZX14 TBs (flies pulled of course), PCV, Auto tune, Full AreaP pipe, Baker hand wings, 55 profile tire in the rear (if the stockers are still on get a set of Angels or PR2/3s), if you want protection the Canyon Cages win hands down. You already have the fastest color so no real cosmetic changes are needed ;D ;D ;D
Well, thats a good start anyway.
Oh, welcome to the looney bin, there's a few people you should ignore at all costs, guys from VA, some dude who goes by Pokey, and if you don't have a money tree out back, ZG. ;)

Or skip pulling the flies, buying a PCV and auto tune and simply get the ECU reflashed...much less expensive and better results (IMO)
Bridgestone BT023/GT, PR2, PR3, Angel ST any of them in a 190/55-17 for the rear

44 here ... and shopping to get back into cycling ... but don't seem to be able yet to come to grips with the idea of a sport tourer. Heck I only have a few grays on my chin! Is that a C14 ownership prereq??
I will say, this crowd is a lot more mature than guys on some of the sport bike sites  ... just not sure if that's a good thing!! ;D
Oh ... also, I like how the poll chart looks like a hand flippin' the bird ... very appropriate!!

46 last November. Bought my first C10 at 23, an 86, then an 87 at 24, a 98 at 32 now a 2010 C14 purchased in '11. Have always been into long distance riding, having grown up traveling with the family on motorcycles, so the Concours is the perfect bike to combine LD miles and fun twisties.

Six finger flip-off. Obviously a Disney/Pixar creation.

What did everybody do to deserve an unshaven woman?? (or two)

Probably should have gone into more detail. I bought the bike with 5,000 miles, 2 years left on extended warranty, 2 bros. exhaust with a PC3 installed and tuned. The bike has Metzlers on it for tires and they are brand new. I'm looking at getting some type of aftermarket seat (not sure which yet) and possibly raising the bars, and that's about it. From upstate New York and is still miserable and cold but I definitely can't wait to ride.
-
36, was out of riding for about 10 years. Bought my 2010 in March of 2012, out of the 6 bikes I've owned since I was 18, the C14 is by far the best.
-
28. This is my second Concours, coming from a 2000 C10, which I still have.
-
48, I'm elderly (http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j180/stevewfl/icon10.gif)
-
Pretty sure I'm still 43, but I can't remember.
-
Looks like at 51 I'm in the majority group 8)
-
Pretty sure I'm still 43, but I can't remember.
Yeah, that's the problem. I do happen to remember, for now, that I'm 44 ... but it doesn't matter anymore!! ... until I'm like 62 I guess.
-
28, got it 3 years ago when I was 25. I'm sure the salesman was a bit confused by my preference. The big touring bikes have always appealed to me, since I like to ride distance, and still have fun in the canyons/mountains.
Same here. I bought my C10 as a 25th birthday present for myself. Picked up up the day after my birthday and spent the entire weekend riding it!
Not too many of us young guys ride bikes like this. I'm thinking it's part economic (considering that most of the kids I graduated high school with still live with mommy and daddy, or are on their own but not really "upwardly mobile" so to speak) and also part image: guys see me on the 10 or the 14, and automatically assume I'm some old guy. Has kept me from a few performance awards, to say the least!
Having ridden more than 20 different bikes over the past 5 years, 3 of which were my own, there's nothing else that does it for me, quite like a Connie, old or new.
-
4 months on the short side of 63. The '10 Concours with custom paint, Canyon Cages, PIAA lights, full Area P exhaust, PCV 5 w/ Autotune, BMC filter, and a few other mods makes this the19th bike i have owned Riding buddies, (mostly younger) have all "graduated" to Harlies and Wings so I have to slow down for them.
Still ride my KTM 505 in the dirt and my go fast bike is a BMW K1200
I hope i can impart some inspiration for younger guys and those with health probles to keep riding. I have 6 more chemo treatments for terminal cancer. Then 3 months of summer riding before resuming chemo in the fall.
The only way i know I am getting older is by looking at my finally clean driving record!
-
FYI, in exactly one year from today Rick Hall will have to change his vote. ;)
Happy Birthday Rick! Thanks for giving us such a great forum brother! :hail: :chugbeer:

Made it to 60,,,,somehow. Black 2011 Concourse is my 8th Motorcycle. Got it to get back to one of the things I like to do best, fly over the pavement with all the elements experienced. Plan to retire at end of this year and hope to do several adventures on it before.....
