08-09 PCV Mapping Question
« on: June 21, 2011, 04:03:56 AM »
So one of the new features I really liked about the 2010 and 11 models is the Economy Mode, and I've been wondering if it's possible to do something similar with the 08-09 models using a PCV and it's map selection function with the optional Map Switch and handlebar mounting bracket.  This would let us 08/09 owners play around with a performance map to match our mod's without having to worry about it negatively affecting fuel economy, and since the PCV offers more flexibility than the stock ECU we could modify the Eco map into the higher RPM's rather than cutting off at 6,000rpm like the factory one.

So my question is this:  Has anyone been able to pull the Economy Mode map off the 10/11 ECU so the data can be plugged into a PCV map?

Jamie at Fuelmoto has an economy map for the 08-9 models. & some folks have taken advantage of having it as a second map.

Also...

Ping Fuel Moto, I spoke with them about maximizing economy in cruise mode.  Something like under 3800 rpm, below 20% throttle, leaned out the mix per their guidance.  Picked up 3-4mpg avg. per the computer on the bike.
