Greetings all, I am looking at a set of aftermarket slip on's... If I get them, does that mean that I have to mess with the carbs ? I already have the stock exhaust with the bafflectomy mod...

To be honest your stock carbs already need to be re-jetted to improve performance and economy and you really need overflow tubes (do a search on Hydro lock)
The only thing your going to gain with slipons is less weight both on the bike and your wallet. You wont get anymore power than you already have other than the above recommendation.

If you want the best value for your money do the Performance Exhaust Cam Sprocket and the Carb 2 minute Mod or get the full set of cams.
If you have money to burn and you just want loud and looks (you wont make any more power) Delkavic makes nice slip ons or you can get Dale Walker Hole Shots.

I am looking at sound, looks and weight reduction more than raw performance. I think my Connie runs a bit fat anyway, I just don't want her to be too lean....

What Mike said is true. To get optimum performance, Steve has worked out jetting that will improve things.
But you do not have to do a rejett. Bike will run fine after you change the mufflers.
I installed Cobra's on 5 Connies. None were rejetted. All ran fine.
Note: I am preparing to rejett mine now.. I installed more than just mufflers and want to improve the jetting...
If you decide to rejett with Steves parts, let him know you have different mufflers (etc). He may tweak his jett kit for you.
He tweaked the jetts he sent me....

You are right the Concours is jetted a little on the fat side and can usually take a set of slip-on cans without the broken record warnings; truthfully for as hard as I actually ride my bike the only mod I really needed was the Staintune mufflers to please my own ears if no one else's.

Thanks folks... I will receive the cans in a few days... I am really thinking of having Steve do up my carbs... I really like his approach... I will install the cans and take her for a couple long rides and see what's what. Just hate to have her down during the good riding weather. Does Steve just work on what you send him, or can I order a set of carbs already done, and just send him mine as a core ?

Hey SiSF, correct me iff'n I'm wrong, but they almost never spend 48 hours at his shop, unless something is messed up really bad.

I strive for a very quick turn around, generally back on the way home in 2 days. This week I am at the end of doing 7 sets, and all but one that had a fuel needle seat issue that wouldn't cooperate while setting fuel heights have been within my quoted timeline. It wasn't easy, early mornings and late night, but the ultrasonic sure made the difference - it's cleaning one set while I'm dissassembling and prepping the next... Steve
