Can someone tell me where I can get a ram ball for the center stem on the fork? I thought motorcycle larry sold these, but I can't find it on their website.
-
I had trouble finding them a few months ago when assisting with another poster. Motorcycle Larry was the only one I had seen, I think.

Several risers are available with RAM mount right on them. Seems most everyone uses risers, so that is one solution if nothing else surfaces. (It is what I use)
If you already have risers that do NOT have a RAM mount, you can tap it for one.

I found this. Looks sturdy enough to mount my Garmin 595 on so I can get it in the center of the bars.

Yeah, I saw something similar to that but thought it was a bit strange and doesn't look particularly strong. A Zumo is pretty heavy/big...

Is this what your looking for?

this sounds strangly like something I offered some input on just yesterday...

they sell ball mounts also...
so if you have mega risers and wedges for your bars installed... you need a 'taller' stem (higher) stem mount... mmmm kayyyyyy???

that won't do...
I don't really care for 'ball' mounts myself, but if that's wanted, they are strong enough for any GPS, including my old 2610... but the shorter the stem, the stronger and least vibratory they are..

I like the control cap mounts because of that. Brings it closer to the eye also.

They are actually strong and secure.

I've had my Zumo 220 on various ball mounts on various motorcycles for nearly 7 years. That is one heck of a product, I've used it for 3 separate trips this year.

The search function is your friend......
This has been discussed several times before.
I searched for "stem nut" to find this thread..... http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=7061.msg83555#msg83555 (http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=7061.msg83555#msg83555)

Search can be your friend but only if you know what words to search for (assumes the membership knows how to spell) LOL

Yeah, I wouldn't have thought of using "stem nut", myself.

Essentially....yes.
