Title: LED blinkers that stay on white when not blinking
Post by: Oilman on April 05, 2023, 12:01:34 PM
Does anyone know where to get the aftermarket LED's to replace blinkers all the way around that stay lit white when not in use, but still blink orange when in use. I saw a video somewhere but can't for the life of me find anymore.

I installed some switchback lights on my ‘09.  I’d have to research which ones I purchased, as I am not sure if they are JDM A-stars or not.  JDM makes an excellent LED bulb.

Update: I do have JDM.  As I recall, I had to switch out the OEM 1156 base and wire in an aftermarket 1157 base.  It’s possible to get the 1157 base into the stock Kawasaki 1156 socket, but it requires some filing of one of the 1157 base notches to make it work.  Don’t forget that you need an electronic flasher so you don’t get the LED hyperflash.

Also, if you’re interested in having rear running lights on the back of the bike, this is what I did:

I still make the plug and play kits, complete front and rear.

I recently installed the ones from Gixerhp. True plug & play, no wires to cut. Really great quality. There was one error in the instructions about removing the rear tail light. Still it was pretty easy.
