If anyone here is in or around central New York State, I stumbled across something interesting. The BWM motorcycle dealer in Fairport, NY is sponsoring an event this Saturday, September 3rd. It's 3 laps of the Watkins Glen International racetrack ("touring" laps, behind a car; not "at speed" laps) for $20. Here are the details:
 
 Registration starts at 11:00AM Saturday, September 3rd at gate 3 of the Watkins Glen track
 It's $20 cash, since we're out in "the field"
 You don't have to ride a BMW
 ride is 12:00 sharp, with no rain date
 half the money goes to Alzheimer's research
 
    I'll be leaving from the Syracuse area at 9:00AM, if anyone wants to tag along.
