What do most folks use for single riding? The Clymers sez 7psi, but from what I dimly remember reading on the "old" list that seems too low.
So what do YOU use ?
Thanx!

I run 40-50psi, whether I ride one up or two, but then I am in the security size squad. I thin if you are an average size rider you would probably be happy in the 25-35 range for most of your riding, unless you go for a little stiffer suspension then pump it up a bit more.
I always found that when the shock was under 20psi the rear end was just too squirrely. Just watch you don't over pressurize, if I remember correctly 50psi is max.

Before I changed to my ZZR1200 shock, my 06 with 15k miles was run at 30psi #2 solo (240lb) and 30psi #3 with pillion on back (380lb). Another thing to consider is what weight oil is in the stock shock as this will affect the ride quality and respective settings.
IIRC, 10wt oil is what's in there from the factory and I changed it to 15wt. Also on COG http://www.cog-online.org/clubportal/clubstatic.cfm?clubID=1328&pubmenuoptID=29935 (http://www.cog-online.org/clubportal/clubstatic.cfm?clubID=1328&pubmenuoptID=29935) from George "Boomer" Garrett, a once guru of the C-10 here OTP.

15w oil, 50psi and 4 give me the ride I prefer. My 01 will hit hard if it gets down under 40. But that never happens because I check that along woth my tires on almost every ride.
No changes necessary when the wife wants to ride, which is not very often with her bad back.
JMHO, ride safe all.

I run 40 psi and "2". I don't like waiting for the suspension to take a set in a turn.

I'm with Jim on this one. I run 35-40 and "2" on the dampener. To prevent over filling I simply turn my compressors regulator to my desired pressure. Fill and ride baby...oh yeah
