Well, I've destroyed two key chains trying to get it through the two tiny holes on the fob.

No bueno....anyone have a suggestion?
Hate fobs especially on bikes. Ordered new R1200R minus keyless ride.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

fob keyring
Sometimes I have good search-fu and sometimes not so much. One key (pun intended) is to search the correct forum (or in some cases, the incorrect forum).

After 10 years I sold my Connie. I put a zip tie through the slot for the first time ever when I gathered the keys for sale.
I can't believe I never lost it.

I lost one once. Found it years later in the house.

You need something like this.
The cord goes through the hole in the fob and you pass the chrome bit through the cord loop and pull tight.
Then attach the key ring to the chrome ring.

Zip tie and/or camera leash like above combine. I used a split key ring to attach it to a lanyard.
