Bike is washed, bags are packed, and sites set on the West coast. I am going to leave my house tomorrow, head up to Jacksonville for the night. Then VERY early AM Saturday I am pointing my bike towards San Diego, attempting to complete my CC50 ride. What a way to break in a new seat eh!

Looks like you are going to be able to add a lot of new states to your map in your signature.
Good luck.  Take lot of pictures please.   ;D

The very best of luck with that and most of all, a safe ride.

A CC50 is quite the experience, especially once it all kind of swirls together in your foggy memory :-)

I went over to the other ...whatever that is..cool-land I think it's called now.
Anyway, Jacksonville FL to Fort Stockton TX to San Diego in 41 Hours and 40 minutes.
I'm thinking the seat is broke in now.

That is correct information.  I successfully completed it in less time than I planned. I had a great tailwind from Houston West.  My dash display was showing 58 mpg for a couple of tank fulls. At first I thought my gas gauge was stuck. Nope, just great mileage!
The new Baldwin seat is well broken in now. The first day on the road was over 19 hrs.
Now I'm up in Frisco. Going to see some redwoods tomorrow.

Oh crap, this is a what did you do to your bike, not a travel report thread.  So what did I do to mine,  I have it a BIG hug!

I also learned something yesterday.

CHP kinda frowns on girls from Florida going a little fast, especially in between lanes. There goes the clean driving record, and a few dollars.
