So you now think it might be worth the price rather than "stealing" it?Little snippy aren't we Max? How do you know he didn't 'steal' it?
Love all the photos you are posting! They are not only interesting, but well-taken. Quite the huge project.
(It is "manual" not "manuel") Well, it is a hell of a lot better written than the horrible owner's manual!

Maybe there is such thing as victimless crime. Maybe Kawasaki will get plenty of my money in parts sales and can throw me a little discount….. many maybes
And as far as spelling goes - perhaps it's parts cleaner fumes, or maybe 3am typing, or english being a second language… either way, this is not a spelling bee, but a bike re-build and I am too lazy to proofread.
Thans for a compliment on photography. It's a hobby of mine
Max is Max... his mother still proof reads all his work
He rides the net instead of his bike
- Are there any emissions / restriction bits that can be removed that are worth doing at this stage?
Enough. Seriously. Lets enjoy the resurrection without the false moral bravado. Jim said what needed to be said and FWIW we do not need any more moderators.
So….. today mission was getting valve cover off, and doing a valve check (possibly adjustment). It has been a while since I have done one. Most of my bike wrenching was done when I was racing two-stroke GP bikes (T250's and TZ125's). Luckely my buddy Brian was around working on his race car to keep me in check.
What a tight fit. At one point I even considered dropping the motor out. But that is way more work then I am ready for. So I kept taking bits off until valve cover slid out of the frame side. Shop manuel is pretty helpful. Just need to be patient.
Bike looks like it exploded:
Missed that part. Perhaps the catalytic convertors.... but that probably isn't really worth doing if you are not going to make other major changes to the exhaust... and then you will need to go outside the stock fuel mapping (with a PC commander, probably). If you are really into making it fast and an even larger project then get a cat-free ZX header, put in an O2 sensor, and run a dual exhaust.
PLEASE MAX it's catalytic CONVERTERS NOT convertors
And NO you don't have to put in a 02 sensor with ZX headers with out catalytic converters
or change the map , but the Guhl flash is nice
Nice project. Fun to see pics and evolution of your work.
Is this a RD400 at the back ? looks cool
