Not to go off topic, but what kind of Formula Ford was that? It looked vintage. I raced a buddy's Winkleman WDF-1 years ago.

Cool! Thanks for the information. That car is from the late 60's or early '70s. Very vintage indeed!

Good work on the bike.

About the right fork having different oil than the left fork.  Perhaps one of the times it was wrecked one of them was replaced....??

Just a thought.  It's the only way I can see that making any sense.

That makes sense. Front end is all sorted out and checked.

Just bought a missing lower fairing from one of the forum locals, ordered a few small bits of ebay and bike should be ready for spring / summer commute.

Will post pics when completed.

Well, after procrastinating a good bit the bike is now road worthy. Tagged titled and did it's first trip to the mountains. Everything is tracking straight. Still need new tires for a piece of mind, and to put the electric windshield motor once i find one. Still have some scuffs on plastic, but its now a solid bike and running like a champ. Will take some pics sooner then later. Overall mission is a success. Thanks for all the help and support.

So, after daily riding the 14 to work for last few weeks and putting maybe 700 miles on it... everything is working top. I am actually impressed with the bike. I had a fear that I will not get along with it. I am #160 and I never was fond of my FJR. For whatever reason I like the 14. Sure keeping her around for lots of commuter and touring miles.
