Made Knob keys for my saddle bags using Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar bottle caps like Bud Callaghan from this thread,

http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=3602.30

And modified my gas cap so it can be closed without using the key following the instructions of Fred Harmon here,

New reservoir project complete! I am amazed how dark the clutch fluid was when I changed it. <2 years old and 31,xxx miles. Glad I changed it.

Did you have any problems bleeding the clutch? I did it once using a MityVac and it was a b***ch. Just wouldn't flow. It's long bast time to do it again but the first experience makes me what to procrastinate even more then my normal nature.

Had a productive day yesterday on my 2012 C14. Installed a Classic Industries hitch & a removable rack that attaches to the hitch, Now I can carry my tent & camping  gear on it. Also replaced the narrow stock front footpegs with Kuryakyn ISO footpegs, They are much wider & give much more support to the bottom of your feet.

I like the pegs. Do you have part numbers? I've browsed through the Kuryakyn catalog before and it's lengthy. The arch of my feet do get sore at times. Nice idea!

Washed the bugs off of her and then took a long ride and reapplied the bugs.    :D

No problems at all bleeding any of the fluids. I used a Motion Pro bleeder. This made the project go well.

Hmmm, works like speed bleeders which I've used on other vehicles. I was going to buy speed bleeders for the C14 but this looks better, just have to buy one. I'll give it a try. Thanks.

I use the same bleeder, it works great. I use it on all of my vehicles.

[smg id=658]

I just ordered one. Lots of bike work coming in a few weeks. Changing all the fluids will be one of the jobs. Hopefully changing the exhaust with a new flash will be another (oh boy oh boy oh boy...  :P)

My recommendation, for what whatever that worth. Take the bleeder all the way out and put a couple wraps of teflon tape on the threads and then reinstall. I noticed micro bubbles when doing my clutch. I did the tape and the bubbles went away.

I think if any air entered it would come out the first time you pumped the brakes. Losing a little fluid should not be a big deal. I know I have had trouble using the same bleeder because of the air leaking around the bleeder. Going to give it a try.

Install new EBC XC rotors, took out the pads( new shoes last week -less than 500m on them) and washed the callipers with soapy water. Engine and shaft oils.
Just waiting for the lock tight to set up then off to Some twisties tomorrow.
