Title: Boss Hoss Viper V-10
Post by: OCK913 on September 23, 2011, 03:09:32 AM
Our club did a poker run last weekend for a local wildlife refuge and the last stop was at a Harley dealership. Because I had never been inside this one before I walked around to see what they had to offer. The only bike tat caught my eye was not a Harley at all, but a Boss Hoss with a Dodge Viper V-10 and dual NOS bottles. I have ridden Boss Hoss bikes at Bike Week and they are pretty damn powerful, but I cant imagine what this V-10 would be like. Not my kinda bike, but it definately would garner some attention.

I don't see anything below the collecters on the exhaust manifolds.  Is a full exhaust an option that isn't included on this bike?

Both tips are there, just in front of the rear tire.  Bet it sounds like an old fighter plane!  I wonder how the heat holds up?  Not my cup of tea either, but I would like to graft that motor into my '65 'Stang!!

OMG that is perfect for a Harley dealership.  I thought for sure Boss Hoss' were a total joke, then found out they weren't.  Just makes me wonder what goes through the mind of the purchaser.  I mean, I can sort of understand the collector buying one.  It's a great example of American largess afterall, but for someone to actually buy it as a motorcycle?  I just don't get that part.  But hey, whatever floats your boat.  Its a free country afterall.

And the 2 Nitrous bottles do what. I mean if 500 horses don't get you there on time, you might want to leave a little earlier.

It's awesome in an ugly sort of way. I think I'd rather have the Tomahawk instead. Or this one:

There is one on craigslist in orlando. He wants 185,000 for it. Supposedly there was only two ever built.

I think the one on Craigslist is the one I saw. I am guessing he took it to Seminole Harley and they are selling it on consignment for him. The paint is idetical and the price quotes of $253k to build and selling for $185k is also identical to the one I saw.......

It's no joke.  I have ridden a friend of mine with the V-8.  It's a total blast to drive.  The only reason I don't own one is the $$$$
