For those that have recently sold their 2009+ Connie
« on: July 13, 2013, 06:17:52 PM »
What price did she go for and how long was it listed before it sold?

I put my 09 on Craigs list only got one response, an offer of $7,000,  had it listed for $8,900 (09 non ABS, w/11,500 miles).  I knew that was a tad high but hundreds less than the others that were listed.

It's been on Cycle Trader for several days for $8300 and no responses at all so far, except from a placed called Once Driven.  It must have been some kind of Bot scanning the ads, reading phones #'s and calling a solicitation to list it for a fee.

Where's the market at on the C14's?

I bought my 09 in July of 09 with just over 3,000 miles on it for $9,500. It was showroom condition. At that time, new ones were $13,000 out the door. Expecting much more than $7,000 4 years later is definitely waiting for the correct buyer to come along in my opinion. Jap bikes don't hold their value. Farkles may add a little to the value, but you will probably be better off returning the bike to stock and selling the farkles separately. Just my $.02.

 :o

That seems really high to me for a non-ABS model with 11.5k miles on it, I only paid $10k for my brand new leftover 09 ABS model with no miles on it.  :-\

If it was cash in hand you really should have taken that.  ???

I sold my 2010 with 37,000 miles on it last winter for $8500.  It took about six weeks to sell and was on consignment at a Kawasaki dealer.  It sold through a Cycle Trader ad.

Not to be a smart ass but it doesn't takes a genius to see the market for yours is around $7,000. Book values do not matter, neither does what a dealer says, or what he is trying to sell them for. The only thing that matters is what a private buyer is interested in paying.

I sell things on craigslist, occasionally, and it doesn't matter what I sell, there is always someone who asks if I will either take payments, or accept an XBox as trade.  Both are worth about as much as a swift kick in the balls, in my opinion, as either way you end up with no cash, no useful product, and lots of pain.

Also, with a motorcycle more than a couple grand, some people might want to finance it, and if they may not be able to get a check/cash until there's a the bank approves the VIN.

Im in the market for one right now.  Looking for 11-13 model years.  I have seen new left over 12's going for 12,200.  A used 12 with 1400 miles for 10,200+/- and i've just begun my search.  Seems prices are all over the place especially for new 12-13's.  I can tell you I recently sold my 08 Busa with wave rotors, stainless lines, ebc HH pads, full yosh exhaust, pc and 25k miles for 7,000 on CL.  Took about two weeks and I asked 75 for it.

There are two here locally for sale on Craigslist, both 2008, on has ABS, 25,400 miles, and asking price is $8500, it also has Phil's rack, Two Brothers, Dynotronics did the ECM, and Corbin seat and Throttlemeister.

The other one is essentially stock from the looks of it and asking price is $7,200 and has 32,000 miles. Oh, those are "adult" miles, no three year olds have been allowed to ride it.  ::)

Who knows what they will actually get for their bikes.

Well, there goes the value of my bike.  I've allowed my 8 year old grandson to ride it.

I think it should be close to about 7,000 now.
