A ride? I need a Billy Reid sportcoat
« on: July 25, 2013, 07:36:48 PM »
You ST folks have been a bad influence on me.  So anyway...........

Some may know of Billy Reid. A fashion designer from Alabama, he's got an accent about like mine.  He does this:

CFDA Men's Designer of the Year 2012
GQ /CFDA - Best New Designer in America Award in February 2010
Vogue Fashion Fund Award in November 2010

Instead of going to Nordstroms here in Tampa, selecting a jacket and having it tailored, I'm doing the right thing.  I'm going to personally pay Billy and his associates a visit. Like go to upstate Alabama:

And have them do me one of these:

Also this ride I plan to hit the mountains (and even run the dragon just ONCE), Charleston, SC, Columbia, SC, Augusta, GA, Myrtle Beach, and a host of other places with friends and family

How very fashionable of you Steve.

My trips always have an excuse a theme, this one is shopping

stereo-typing ;D, but Alabama hosts Technology and Research Parks, and I have visited on biznezz the Mercedes Manufacturing facility and Research center (Among their largest in the world) at Vance, AL  :D

But this comes to mind when I think of Alabama/Georgia:

Never heard of him before your post, I'm about an hour from the Florence Alabama store and am now on the list also.

If you have a lady traveling with you, she may like to visit this designer also in Florence.

His NYC store and his clothes in Nordstrom's/Niemen Marcus/Saks 5th Ave. are more popular than that Alabama place, but thats his home so he put a nice store presence there and manufacturers/design from there too

Thank you sir for the link!  I didn;t realize all that is going on in  this town
