There were a couple of pics of malpais and one that looks like the side of a crater or hill covered in cinders. Can you tell me where those were taken?

The cinder hill is sunset crater volcano near flagstaff Az(in the movie easy rider) Malpais? Don't know the name but maybe the one on the million dollar hwy in colorado (snuck that one in, was there in 2010)

Thought so on Sunset Crater. Malpais is hardened lava. I was just wondering if they were taken at or near El Malpais National Monument in western NM. My wife owns some property there including a couple of craters like Sunset.

The lava mound is near Amboy, ca (on old rte66 between Ludlow & neddles)
