Whoo hooo just installed 1340 dyna pipes seems alittle shorter than homeboys 1450 dyna pipe but i like the short look .
I was unaware that HD had a shorty version of their Dyna mufflers. I do not know the year model of my mufflers, but the left muffler (as installed on my C10) is inscribed with "system 66413-00" and "for model FXD-1450." FXD is Harley speak for "Dyna Superglide." The muffler measures 24" over-all-length. For what it worth the tip of the muffler, as installed, extends about 3 1/4-3 1/2" past the center-line of the rear axle. I thought this information might be helpful to anyone who desires to look for and install the longer muffler.
BTW: I forgot to mention in my earlier posts is that Harley engineered an exhaust balance tube between the two exhaust systems. (A balance system is factory installed in C10's.) You will find a small stub on each muffler where the balance system connects. You must cut the stubs off and weld in a small plug. A washer will do fine. This is not difficult if you have a TIG welder (heli-arc). Fortunately, I do. TIG welding is necessary to avoid too much heat, possibly ruining the chrome finish. A person competent in MIG (wire feed) welding might be able to do the task. In either case, this would be an inexpensive task for any weld shop.
