cal science is great and is plenty thick. i routinely hit 150 AND HAVE NO ISSUES no flex no shake with the cal sci large .  Why would you need it thicker if it does the job perfectly the way it is?   you looking to add weight to the front end ?  then yes thicker would be better.   im 6ft 195 lbs with 32 inseam and cal sci large is perfect for me .

I like the looks and quality of the CB better than the CS. Both are decent windshields thought.

FYIY, I have a Utra Tour Domed CB on my bike. 90% of the time, I leave it all the way down so that air flows into the top of my helmet. On rainy days, I raise it up slightly so that the rain clears my helmet completely. Never do I raise it up all the way up as it completely block airflow. I'm 5'11" and ride with a modified/stock seat.

Agreed. The lines of the CB follow the lines on the front of the Connie better IMO than the CS.

Is this question for me KT??  ???

I don't have this shield that I'm inquiring on, so I wouldn't know in regards to buffeting... Or are you saying that the unique top cut "will" reduce buffeting more than the domed cut??  :-\

sorry "ZG" I didnt realize you wouldnt know i was talking to you. You had stated you tried both the CB and the CS and i knew you rode with a passenger. I was curious to know your observations between the two in buffeting as this is something the wife and I are trying to solve when we have to ride the slab. I apologize for getting off topic, I promise i wasnt trying to be a d_ck.

No worries bro, all good!  :chugbeer:

No buffeting issues for me or mama with the current CB euro mini shield.

I'm just looking to also pick up an even taller shield for grinding long hwy slab in the future like the ride I had to do this weekend, taking more if not all the wind off my helmet is the goal for hwy chewing...  :)

I had a tallish passenger when I was trying out the Ultra Tour and she hated it.  I'm tall too, and tall n the saddle, and found the buffeting annoying on the CB.  The Cal Sci calmed it down almost completely.

With my wife and I tooling down the highway with the CB Ultra Dome up 1/2 way up my gas mileage drops from 42 to 38mpg. Still worth the quiet and smoothness it provides.

Probably because everyone is purchasing gear for the upcoming ridding season. You know, from July 31st until August 3rd...

Oh good, I'm over half way there.
The funny part will be UPS delivers new windshield while I'm boxing up seat pan to ship.

Not that it matters to black bikes, but it is good for 135ish mid way up ;D

Well, two pages later....I'll say it, (since the rest are ignoring you SoP) that was a good one.  :rotflmao:
