2010 C14 ABS Right Glove Box
« on: April 05, 2012, 01:40:07 PM »
Has anyone found a decent glove box that fits into the Right Side Fairing. There is one in the left. I am looking to install my XM radio in one.

Thanks

I have never seen that offered by any company.  I suppose it might be theoretically possible to buy a stock left handed one and flip it around and install it in a hole on the right side.  But you would need to make some type of support for it.  Probably a pretty expensive and time consuming project.

Or you could buy a C10...they have two.  At least my 02 did.

I have a C10 as well a 2003. But I think you will agree the C14 is better. I thought about the idea of using the Left one on the right, but it is a little too small for my XM Radio. Any ideas where I could put the radio. I need to protect it from the elements.

Thanks for the replies so far.

RAM mounted to the bars?  Tech Mount makes a nice mount that attaches to the rear riser screws and probably has a suitable adapter.  Not sure what size your radio is but their large cell phone mount might work, and it's easy enough to take on and off for security.

Unless you just want to leave it in a glove box to keep it out of sight.

I think I have found the solution to my problem. I am buying a waterprrof XM Radio Mount for my C14. Looks like it will do the job nicely without having to modify the bike. Here is the link to what I got
