2010 Concours upshift without clutch.
« on: June 14, 2021, 08:00:15 PM »
I'm wondering if it's ok to upshift without using clutch?
It does shifts pretty smoothly. Thanks for replying.

Yes.  As long as it is done smoothly.  Most of my upshifting from 2+ is done this way.
Shoodaben (was Guhl) Mountain Runner ECU flash, Canyon Cages front/rear, Helibars risers, Phil's wedges, Grip Puppies, Sargent World seat-low & heated & pod, Muzzy lowering links, Soupy's stand, Nautilus air horn, Admore lightbar, Ronnie's highway pegs, front running lights, all LED, helmet locks, RAM Xgrip, Sena SMH10, Throttle Tamer, MRA X-Creen, BearingUp Shifter, PR4-GT, Scorpion EXO-T1200,etc

I did it on my C14 without any issues and sometimes it felt smoother shifting than using the clutch.

You're right. It does smoother most of the time without clutch.

Yes, I've done it since nearly new & now sitting at 248,000 miles I don't have any problems. It does shift smoother & I still have my original clutch.
