Post by: Rocket Therapy on September 26, 2012, 06:36:30 AM: I read on here some of you guys are putting pins in the bags just as a precaution. And I'm just wondering what you guys are using to pin them with

Post by: Sinstr on September 26, 2012, 06:43:01 AM: I decided not to pin the bags. I just use a black zip tie to the handle and the frame rails at the top. Works just as well as pinning the bags, is easier to do, costs less, and serves the same function.

+4 Works well and still have the original design convenience of instant removing or installing the case.

Post by: twowheeladdict on September 26, 2012, 10:34:00 AM: Didn't Kawasaki redesign the catch on the '10+ bikes? I don't see how my bags could inadvertantly come off. I have lifted pretty hard on the rear of the bags. Either they redesigned them or those that lost them hit some major potholes or possibly they weren't latched down completely?

Not that we're aware of. They've ignored the issue for the most part.
